Project Brief The Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) has proposed a new facility that will house the BSO's expanding jazz program. The building will feature two theaters: a 1,200 seat acoustically defined concert hall, and a 300 seat experimental hall for avant-garde jazz and electronic music. Supporting spaces and leasable offices were to be integrated throughout the rest of the building.
Project Description The design lifts the public off the site to create an interplay between the informal ground plane and the formal performance above. This allows for views to the harbor while enhancing the existing pedestrian bridge.
